Not religious, because the interconnectivity of life and the patterns and struggle of nature are infitely more interesting and beautiful. Check out the origin of religion with regards to sun-worship and crop cycles. Its enlightening.

No 'consideration' of chaos theory then?

Those that believe in God do believe they've seen him, or at least his work. They simply look around. I've never seen or met love or dark matter and I believe in those. I simply accept that they exists.

I don't follow one religion per se. I read the bible, I take from it what I need to and I go from there. It's not blind, it's not without question, but it is done with faith.

I guess I'm religious...I would consider myself Buddhist but I really like the little I've read about Taoism, so who knows where I am and where I'm going...it's hard to call both of those "religions", because they're also philosophies/psychological and do not worship a supreme creator/God.

I'd say my experiences with intense love and happiness (and subsequent loss of these things) have made Buddhism and Taoism meaningful to me.

My view of religion is this: there is some ultimate truth to the way the world works...some way for us to live that is on a higher level of consciousness and morality that ultimately also brings us greater happiness. We're born tuned into this reality, but as we grow older our experiences can make us fearful, angry, etc. and pull us away from this reality. Religion should help us retain the wisdom we gain over the years while also restoring our child-like love for others and innocence of perception.

Asking "Why aren't you religious?" makes about as much sense as asking "Why don't you believe in pink polka-dotted minotaurs?"

Why do you try to believe in a god if the concept doesn't make sense to you?

I'm a bit spiritual without being religious. To me, nature is "God."
