Reccomend an air purifier

I'm concerned about possible mold in my house.

I bought mine at Sears a couple years ago. I don't if it helps with mold but it sure gets rid of smells in the air. I put in the workout area of my house to keep down on the stank.

My uncle has The Ionic Breeze and swears by it. He's one of those guys with sinuses that get fucked up by any kind of shit in the air AND he's a singer. He looooves his Ionic Breeze.

Oreck and Ionic Breeze's are NOT good air purifiers. The good brands you want to be looking at are Austin Air,Allerair,IQair,Blueair,Whirlpool,Hon eywell.

The absolute top of the line is considered to be IQair

Stay away from that Ionic Breeze and Oreck garbage

I'm surprised. Why is it that my uncle can breathe now? Maybe his air wasn't as shitty as he thought and any purifier would've done the trick.

Do you like, work at Brookstone's or something?

not sure why he can breathe now but both the Ionic Breeze and Oreck air purifiers have consistantly performed poorly in tests done by consumer reports. They are definately not recommended.

The reason I know this stuff is that I have asthma and chronic bronchitis so Im actually planning on buying an air purifier soon.Because of this I did a nice bit of research online about different brands as I found out all air purifiers are definately not created equal.

Oreck and the Ionic Breeze are the ones the public is most familiar with because of the ads they do on tv but to get an actual quality air purifier you need to look at the brands I posted above.

Elaborations/links to the courts/consumer reports?

Let me know which purifier you picked, and other other ones you came close to considering.

Just been reading a bit on Consumer Reports myself. They seem very negative about the ionic machines in general because they emit ozone. Of course that is not a "good thing" for the world in general, but it also seems to far outweigh the simple performance side of things in their overall ratings, so even something that performs well will not be rated well if it is ionic, due to the ozone emissions.
