Do you lie on your Resume to just try to get your foot in the door?

I got a bachelors in Automated Manufacturing, but it doesn't mean shit right now, because I don't have any work experience and im trying to break in the field. I'm making over 20 an hour right now, but the Agency say that if I want a job in the field, then you need to start out as an intern and make considerably less money. I have had some jobs in computers and refrigeration, but do you guys exaggerate a little on the resume, change it up for just for that job position just to get an interview and maybe hit it off with the interviewer to get a little training. I know the terminology but not the hands on experience.

I am pretty sure everyone is guilty of exaggeration on resumes and applications. I have never filled out a resume (I'm still in college), but I did stretch the truth a little bit for college applications. Nothing major, but I would say I worked mores hours a week than I honestly did, little stuff like that.

Is the American way, and who the fuck cares, everyone does it.

Not anything too farfetched, if you know it will come up and u can back it up confidently with good wording during the interview then alls good.

Have never really needed to. I've done enough decent stuff to get an interview most times, then you just have to nail it.

Most people shouldn't need to lie too much.

I can't remember exaggerating on my resume, but I wouldn't be above it.

I work in the staffing industry. Everyone pushes their experience to the max on the resumes. And of course, a lot of people straight lie. I placed someone that lied on their resume and when the client found out, they rescended the offer. The guy was bummed. And the lie wasn't that big of a lie.

My resume is built on a pile of lies to be honest. I never had to do that until I moved here to Vegas. Here, they ask insane shit and experience in order to hire you.

So now my resume is built on bullshit, and it's worked so far.

I actually leave stuff off my resume that I think doesn't apply for the job I am applying for. I have had a lot of jobs and most of the time I don't feel like filling out five pages of where I have worked, for how long, what my responsibilities were, who my supervisors were, and why I left the job.

I landed a good job just recently and I left off more than half of the jobs I have had just because I didn't want to have to talk about them all in the interview.

I never did it. I was straight out of college and I have people's lives in my hand. The last thing I wanted to do was kill someone because I lied about being more qualified than I really was. I was honest, I told them I didn't know shit and they would have to teach me everything.
