Sorry, but I really need to vent on this shit.

So I get Halo for christmas and I try to pop it in my Xbox and it works for about 5 minutes and then it says this disk is unreadable. Try cleaning it, doesn't work. So I take it back and get another one from Gamestop. Still doesn't work. Ok, wtf? Just to make sure it's not the game, I put it in 3 other X-boxes and it works.

So I call X-box and see what's up. Apparently, that warrenty extension that I heard about wasn't for the launch models, so I have to pay $100 to get it fixed. I push the issue with them, but they insist that there is no warrenty for me. So I figure it will cost less to do this than to get a new one.

So they send me a box to ship it back to them in. I wait about 3 weeks and I get it back and they say it's good as new. I put the disc in to play Halo.....not only does it not work, but it CRACKED the fucking disc. So now I've got an X-box that won't play my game and cracked my C.D.

So I call them back and they say they'll just send me a box to put that one in and give me and a new one. While I'm waiting, I just decide to vent and play some Fight Night on it and now NO GAMES would work on it. So not only did they not fix it, but they made it more broken than before.

Now it takes for fucking EVER the box to show up, when it finally does they tell me to put the X-box, the power supply, and the power cord in the box. So it takes another month to get it back, and today when it got back no only did they give me back the same fucking xbox [I checked the serial numbers and manufacturer date just in case], but they didn't send me a fucking power cord.

So I call them again and they say the box will get there in about a week, but I have to wait for them to also mail me a new power cord which will take 2 weeks before I can even mail it.

I'm this close to just calling them and ripping the ladies fucking head off, but that will get me nowhere. So I'm stuck with all these cool games coming out without a fucking X-box and have lost my #1 vent for frustrations.

I was excited about getting an XBOX until it turned out 1/3 of them are defective, so im not taking that gamble and going for the PS3 when i get my 600 bucks from the government, you get more for your money with the PS3

Sorry to hear about it. When it works, it's the best; when it doesn't, it's the worst. But look at it this way: the games you want to play aren't going anywhere, so do your best to be patient.

If only you could some how get your Av to pop up on their screen when you called them...I think they would send you 5 new Xboxes just to be safe!

It should have been free, i had my xbox for a year and it got the 3 red lights. I sent it in for repair, got my box in a week and they send me my xbox back in a week.

I didn't get the red ring though. Looking back on it, I should have probably just told them I did and got it for free.
