These are not usual, nobody writes like that anymore, at least in Brasil, you better use another way.
Here some classic examples:
Agora que li o livro – o Eduardo deu-mo no Natal, com dedicatória apropriada.
Andou com o relogio no pulso durante dois anos, depois fartou-se e deu-mo.
A mulher aprendeu como dar ajudas e deu-lhas continuamente durante o período de crise.
Juliana deu-lhas logo. Mas que as guardasse, que tivesse cautela !

Instead of "deu-mo" use "me deu o".

Jay Pan Rokk you should acknowledge that fact that Portuguese is a pluricentric language

Oh yes, sure it is pluricentric, there are a big comittee with representatives from all portughese speaking countries trying to reunify it world wide though it is very difficult, even in Brasil alone there are many ways to speak and write.

What are you two talking about..?
Lozano, the exemplo given by you is not used anymore for hundred of years. I don't know what Portuguese you are trying to learn, but the one from Portugal can be a bit strange and complicated, as they tend to write and speak like it's in the past. In Brazil, we kind of have our own way of writing and speaking, much more simple than the Portugal's one.
I don't know what level you are at, but this thing that you are trying to learn can be complicated. Drop me a PM if you need assistance.

^ Probably a Brazil-centric comment.
Lozano, as a foreigner you have to learn both and use the right dialect at the right place.

It's true, but as a non-native speaker it doesn't take you more mental work to switch dialects.
