i can tell whether a guy is ugly, average or good-looking although it gets tricky to distinguish within those categories. quite honestly, i don't think there really is a set standard beyond that; women vary a lot in what they find attractive, whereas with men it's fairly universal.
zach braff is an example; that guy doesn't strike me as being anything more than average (if that), like i think i could look as good as him with enough make-up and a $300 haircut. women love him though. john mayer is another one; i really don't see why women find that guy so attractive (i sort-of look like him), but they do. but the obvious ones like brad pitt, christian bale etc. i mean, any guy who says he doesn't see that is just lying.
