Well, maybe it can if you're creative with it. Some people are torn by religious or philosophical beliefs and money won't fix their inner plight.

Let's say a guy is suffering from TFL (being an extreme vigrin loser) gets awarded millions of dollars. Some guys may use that money to buy new clothes, get gym membership and so on to better themselves. Some guys may use it to buy more cheetos and games so they can lock themselves away from society even more.

Money can bring you freedoms but not everybody realizes this or knows the right way of using your money to bring happiness. I know a few people who are rich and I rather not have their lives because they suck at life.
lmao i think you can do a bit more with a million the get a gym membership and/or buy chips and video games? ahaha im sure dwyane could get laid with a mil

by the nature of the question you would be happier and more satisfied as the gas attendant, so there doesn't seem to be a rational reason as to why anyone would choose the millionaire.

this is just like that socrates/pig thread a few weeks ago.

I, assuming it was a joke, answered that I would obviously rather work at the gas station, because what is one million dollars if you can't buy yourself happiness?
this is a silly way to put the question. it matters on how you define happiness as well as other factors. am i just mystically happy if i work at the gas station? am i gaurenteed to have a so/so life if i'm a millionaire with no possibility of cheering myself up?

i don't think i could be trully happy (as in fulfilling all my lifes ambitions: raising a family comfortably, traveling, spoiling my loved ones) if i'm working at a gas station. now i don't think money=happiness, but neither does an easy job.

I can't believe some of the comments I read. People think that if they have money they will necessarily be happy.

If God approached me and said I had 2 choices: be happy and poor or miserable and rich I would choose to be happy and poor. Isn't happiness what we strive for? If given the choice to be happy and rich or happy and poor then I would be happy and rich. As long as the common denominator is I'm happy, that's what I want.
