Putting Women on a Pedestal

I seem to have the problem of putting women on a pedestal that I've developed feelings for, then, when finding out about what losers they've dated and how many of those losers they boned I get really disappointed and hurt. It really bothers me.

Does this happen to anyone else?

I feel your pain completely. Fortunately I have been married now for about a year and a half, but in my dating days I did the same exact thing. I know it is hard but you have to kind of make yourself not get so attached so quickly and stop idealizing a woman simply because you feel for her.

I hold very few women(if any at all) in high regard. Women are devious and not to be trusted and yes even the good ones bone pathetic tools.

Edit: and no I have never been cheated on.

I guess it's more of a feeling of "That guy works at Jiffy Lube and sells drugs, I cant believe you would even give him the time of day much less have moved in with him for a year." I guess I'd like to feel that I'm better than that and not be grouped with such type of guys.

I've felt this way about a couple of girls and have even felt that way with my wife. Even she will admit that she's dated a lot of loser lowlifes. I also think that women's choices change as they mature. In their teens and early twenties they go out with the exciting, fun guys, then in their late twenties become more responsible and go for the better providers.
