I have a couple questions about Ironman concerning his suit and his arc reactor thingy. Yes, it's a movie but what happened to his sternum and other organs located right inside his chest? When Pepper sticks her hand to take out the arc reactor, her whole hand goes inside his chest...that's like a good 7 inches deep, at least. Also, how did the prisoner guy operate on Tony Starks in the middle of nowhere? And why doesn't he just get all the shrapnel taken out of his chest once he got back to the states so he doesn't need to keep that arc reactor in his chest? I mean, he's like Bill Gates.

in the original ending, Tony Stark died of an infection he received from dirty surgery tools. Uncleanliness is the real villain.
