I'm thinking of buying a ps3, does anyone know if there are any price cuts forthcoming? cause I'd be real pissed if i got one and then the price dropped

Rumors are always out there. There is talks of another new sku. eventually there will be another price drop maybe in the Spring or Summer or Fall, no one knows and Sony denies it anyway. What I do know is with each new Sku Sony releases the worse the hardware + features are getting. No emotion engine, no backward compatibility.. hmm I'm glad I got the 60gb

I'm in the same boat, I'd like to get a PS3 too. My guess is there won't be a price drop anytime soon, since there already was one fairly recently (before xmas).

I'm gonna wait it out until at least early summer. The best PS3 games aren't coming out until later this year anyways. Eg: GTA4 and ****l Gear.

No price cut for the PS3 anytime soon.

Sony has said now Blu Ray has won, they don't see a need for a price cut.

i'm not as big into shooters which seems to be the mainstay of the 360. ffxiii, gta 4, mgs, a blue ray player have me sold on getting a ps3.

I seriously doubt youll see a drop soon.

Personally I wouldnt buy a stripped down ps3.
I purchased a 60gb about 2 months after launch and dont regret it at all.
It will play pretty much anything I put in it. Burned movies,ps1,ps2,cds, plus
my copy of grand theft auto san andreas that wont play in my ps2.
