Proper Job Interview Attire?

So i can honestly say i have never had a job interview before. My jobs have either been offered to me, or i have worked with family.

So as a student, I'm obviously desperate for money.. So on Saturday i got a job interview at Earls for a dish washing position.

Thing is, i have absolutely ZERO formal clothing.. never been to a wedding or a funeral.

I'd like to know what i should by for formal attire that would be sufficient enough for a job interview.. I'm on a tight budget.. maybe $80-90.

Would a pair of dress pants and a button up dress shirt be sufficient? Would it be looked down on if i showed in a pair of Nike's?

Please help lol, Give me some advice on some cheap, and proper job interview attire.

seriously i would think for a job washing dishes a clean tucked in shirt and clean jeans on a clean body will be fine

i hardly think they will be expacting a 2,000 dollar three peace suit wearing hand made shoes.

I happen to have a tie for some strange reason. Now how about showing up wearing some nike shox? Would that be acceptable?

The tie should off-set the Nikes.

Tie = I want this job more than the other slobs.

What type of job is it? I've had some interviews where I'll just show up in some jeans, a collered shirt, and a pair of boots. But when in doubt I'll throw on a tie and slacks. It doesn't cost that much to buy all those.
