pomegranates

ever try one of these wacky fruit? they're a bit of a hassle to eat but they're actually pretty great.

you cut it up into chunks, put the chunks in water and separate the juice sacs from the flesh with your hands. the reason for the water is that the juice sacs sink while the excess flesh floats to the top, to be easily scooped out. strain the juice sacs and rinse em, put them in a bowl and enjoy with a spoon. the pomegranate i had was really tangy but apparently they can be very sweet too.

i was impressed enough to start a thread on it.

I used to throw them at cars when I was a kid. They do taste good but the work it took to eat it and sift through the seeds took too much work.

Buy the juice, it easier.

Poms are really good for you. They're pretty good too but a pain to eat. I like the juice but it's kinda expensive.

You can also easily grow them in your backyard.

I got on a pomegranate kick last year after a coworker started bringing me one to eat each day. They are a little troublesome, so now I usually just drink pomegranate juice.

Pomegranates are pretty good and that's an ingenious way to eat them, but

Prickly pear > pomegranate

Speaking of interesting fruits, has anyone ever tried Noni fruit before? I've had the juice and it has the most interesting flavor of any fruit I've ever had. It's supposed to be very nutritious for a person.
