Just FYI manufacturing stopped last year on the 60 gig PS3, so I would recommend the 80 gig which has an software emulator to play the PS2 games.

Damn the 80 is a lot more money then the 40 I bought.... Seems to be like 120 or so more. What do you guys recomend? I doubt I will ever use the 40 gigs of memory that I have now but would love to play PS 2 games on it... any software upgrades to get the 40 to play PS 2 games?

No.......there's no way to get PS2 games to play on the 40gb...it has no Emotion Engine, or emulator.

If you don't want to spend much money see if you can return the 40gb, and then maybe look on ebay or craigslist to see if someone is selling a 60gb or 20gb.

What's up man - Yes PS2 games work on the PS3 (Well some do).

I'm pretty sure you can download more songs for your singing game since you can do the same with Guitar Hero 3.

I have GTA4 (Hate it) and I also have COD4 (Love it), I haven't had the chance to buy MGS yet tho.

I might just upgrade to the 60 or 80 if I can find them. I just got off the phone with the fiance. She wants to be able to play her singing games and I want to be able to play god of war 1 and 2. Thanks for the advice guys!

Good pick on the PS3, I bought a 360 and I'm starting to regret it because it looks like in the end the PS3 is going to come out far and away on top, plus its a Bluray player and HD movies look so much better than crappy regular DVDs.

Who cares about movies? It's a video game system. 360 has better games and better online community, which seperates it a mile from the PS3. Besides, Microsoft will have Bluray soon anyway.

This isn't a thread to argue 360 vs. PS3...there are more than enough discussions about that. Go to one of those if you feel like arguing about the 2 systems.
