It's not a hyperbole. The entire point of using the term 'literally' is to indicate a hyperbole is not being used.

Yeah, it makes sense if you use it to demonstrate you are doing more than you care to, like you're really making an effort to help when you actually don't give a shit.
But you are right, most people use it to describe complete apathy towards something.

It isn't? I agree that "y'all" isn't appropriate for business communication, but according to this http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/y'all it's a word, contracted form of "you all." "Ain't" is also a slang contraction of "am not" when used "properly".
EDIT - I had to correct my grammar, it was "literally" eating at me. I have teeth marks and everything.
