The one thing that I simply cannot wrap my mind around is how so many adults still don't know how to pluralize.

It's rampant. I even see it on signs and in publications every day. You'd think that the people who are paying for these ads or the people who are publishing them would have some sort of quality control mechanism over something so fundamental.

English isn't my first language and, apart from occasional subconscious slip-ups, even I know when to add an "s" without a fucking apostrophe!

If you can quantify the term, use fewer.

If you cannot quantify the term, use less.
