Orlando was 14-5 coming into December, I believe that was the best record in the East at the time. I'm not saying the Jazz were a flash in the pan, but they were clearly outclassed by the Spurs who weren't doing as well as them around this time last year. The Jazz also held the West's best record for a moment, prompting a lot of armchair experts to predict a Jazz/Magic NBA final.

Watched the first two NBA games today at work.
CLE- MIA two struggling teams, its amazing how bad the heat have become, cleveland rolled in this one.
LAL-PHX ---Really entertaining game, Bynum went off with LA for 28pts and 12 boards. I bet Mitch Kupchack is glad he didnt trade him for Kidd now.

I was talking about how they were doing around last December not how they did in December...that's called splitting hairs.
As for trading Kidd for Bynum: fuck no. Bynum is only around 20 years old with a tremondous upside. Kidd, however, is in the twilight of his career who would be playing with Kwame Brown in the middle if that trade were to happen. They would be extremely lucky to make it past the first round of the playoffs.

I have no idea why they aren't trading Kobe for 2 or 3 really good young guys. It makes no sense, they can't win a championship with this team ever.

The only thing is the age difference. Kidd makes any team better and if Kobe wants to win a ring, his best chance is with Kidd, NOT bynum.
Misunderstood, thought you meant in december...
You don't need a center to win a championship; its important, but not necessary if you have great players around you, IE kobe and kidd....

Probably can't find an offer they like. When his contract is up within the next year, well see a lot of offers, at least before he becomes unrestricted free agent.
