Odd question: Most badass creature from pre history?

I have been out of college for 10 years, and if I try to have this discussion with my co-workers, but usually I have to begin with defining prehistory and give them a list of dinosaur's(you know, the giant lizards like godzilla).

This has had been stirred up due to my addiction to jurassic fight club.

Just curious if there are any other fans, and what your favorite dinosaur is, and what 2 you would like to square off in JFC.

A few of mine(which are mostly marine in nature are Deinosuchus(50 ft crocodile) Megalodon(50 ft shark) Dunkleosteus(40 ft eel like fish), Liopluerodon(50 ft marine reptile) a few land dwellers Hyeanadon(very big hyeana/bear) and Arctodus(Short faced bear-twice the size of a polar bear).

I was thrilled when the walking with dinosaurs/swimming with sea monsters came out and focused on some of my favorites.

I would like to see a JFC featuring the Terror Bird(8 ft carnivorous ostrich) vs the Smilodon(sabre tooth). The above listed marine animals did not co-exist, but would like to see Deinosuchus v Lioplueorodon.

I've always been fascinated by the megalodon. They were pretty much the ultimate predator.

Picture, is that a trilobite type of creature?

Giant sloth, good answer, another good candidate for JFC. Short faced bear vs Mega Lion is pretty good, but the best was Megalodon vs Biting Sperm Whales.
