New Nintendo Wii add on gives true 1:1 motion control

Nintendo have come out a day before their E3 presentation to announce Wii motionplus a connector for the Wii remote that gives it true 1:1 response. It seems likely that this a preemtive measure as the plagiarists Microsoft are tonight looking likely to announce their own Wii style remote for the 360

Quote:
Nintendo's upcoming Wii MotionPlus accessory for the revolutionary Wii Remote controller again redefines game control, by more quickly and accurately reflecting motions in a 3-D space. The Wii MotionPlus accessory attaches to the end of the Wii Remote and, combined with the accelerometer and the sensor bar, allows for more comprehensive tracking of a player’s arm position and orientation, providing players with an unmatched level of precision and immersion. Every slight movement players make with their wrist or arm is rendered identically in real time on the screen, providing a true 1:1 response in their game play. The Wii MotionPlus accessory reconfirms Nintendo’s commitment to making games intuitive and accessible for everyone. Nintendo will reveal more details about the Wii MotionPlus accessory and other topics Tuesday morning at its E3 media briefing.

Probably better, since anything that required real-time responses should be more accurate. Wii Boxing comes to mind. Man that game drove me nuts with it's almost random movement that had nothing to do with what I was doing.

I've still never played a Wii, but apparently its backwards compatible with Gamecube, which means I can buy the last two Zelda games I still haven't played and be happy for a long time.

Dont do it.
I bought a Wii and 10 games a couple months ago and it just sits there.
Half the games have never been opened.
Wii sucks.

It is lame for Microsoft to come out with it's own waggle controller. If they do, it would be sad.

However anyone acting like Nintendo aren't plagiarists is funny to me.

Me too, I rarely ever play boxing because it's just not in sync with the controller. How will they work these add ons into Mario Kart, that's the real question.
