Need help choosing a lab department

Alright guys, need some help. I am going to be doing some co-op in a couple of months in a laboratory setting. I have the following choices

Hematology (blood work)
Biochemistry (chemical tests)
Genetics (I would likely be setting stuff up and thats about it)
Microbiology (fungi, bacteria and such)
Histology (Microscopes and such)

I was hoping maybe some of you guys have experience in any of these fields, I was hoping for pros and cons of each one. Currently I am up in the air between Genetics/Micro/Biochem.

If anyone can help me out here it would be appreciated. Otherwise just take your pick and let me know

Will you get your choice for sure? Co-op is often a take what you get, sort of deal.

I've done microbiology labs before and hated them. I'm probably biased because it was for school and they made me return during my lunch hour the following day while the culture multiplied.

Setting up lab equipment will be boring as anything. You'll be doing a lot of cleaning there but the advantage would probably be that the experiments would be more hardcore. You just wouldn't do any of them.

I'd go biochem but that's personal preference. If you're curious about any of them just go for it. If you hate it, that's still a lesson learned.

Hematology... you can make decent money with that kind of knowledge.

chris as usual thanks for the input. It is pretty much assured, my instructor loves my work ethic and has the ability to get me in at any department. she said as long as i keep my grades up at the top nobody would turn me down.

I am totally on the fence as my idea of what I wanted to get into has flip flopped so much recently. I am thinking about asking to split time between my main 3 lol. I know we are going to have a full course on micro soon so that might be the deciding factor for me on that one.
