First off - I am sorry to hear that. I hope everything works out for you and his family.
Secondly - and this isn't meant in disrespect or anything like that but I think motorcycles are tremendously dangerous. Everyone I know who's ridden a bike for at least a couple years has been in a bad accident. It's sort of like the inevitable on a bike that your moment will come.
I had a friend from high school, a troubled kid. I think I was a junior in college when I heard. He was speeding along a highway near Los Angeles on his Ninja and wiped out (not sure what from) going 75 (they estimated). Broke his neck instantly.
That's just one of many stories regarding bikes and bad crashes.

Sorry to hear about it man.
A girl I know just lost her fiance in a bike crash. My other friend just got in his second wreck, both from animals running in front of him on country roads and speed wobbles. He is fucked up 4 life. Another friend of mine almost got cleaned out with his girl on the back when some **** on cell made a left into his lane without looking. He swerved across 2 lanes and almost laid it down. He sold the bike a week later.
My step dad's back is still shot from a bike accident from the 70's.
I grew up on dirt bikes, 3 and 4 wheelers, but I don't think I'll ever get a bick because I know too many fatalities or people that are perma-fucked from wrecks.

Sucks.
Goes to show you why riding motorcycles is a horrible idea.

My deepest sympathies. One of my best friends was killed when falling from a motorcycle a few years ago. It's tough cause it seems so senseless and avoidable. Hang in there man... it does get easier.

A friend of mine committed suicide when I was in high school. I know it is tough.
Just try to keep the "what if" thoughts to a minimum.

Your friend's brain turned to mush when he hit that car. Also, his organs ruptured and spilled out their contents into his abdominal cavity.
Why am I telling you this? Because I had an identical situation happen when I was in the ER at my old job. Some moron on a crotch rocket t-boned a turning Suburban. He was doing about 100mph, and he died instantly.
Of course, our resident ER physician had fun practicing his stuff, like cuting an opening in the side of victim's thoracic cavity, sticking his hand in and pumping his heart.
The victim's pupils were cool, one was fully dilated and the other was pinpoint. Major head trauma.
I don't feel sorry for him or your friend. Morons on bikes who do dangerous stuff will, time and time again, prove that Darwin's Theory of Natural Selection truely works.

Sorry to hear about your loss, but if he often passed cars at 100 mph this shouldn't be a big surprise
