I have a Sony Walkman 4gb mp3 player. It supports MPEG-4 and H.264/AVC for video. I guess H.264 is just a different kind of mp4 compression. I downloaded a converter from Free video soft: video converter, ipod converter, mp4 converter called Free Studio Manager 3.1.1.2. It was intended for iPhones, however, and my player was not down to be homies with the format (which was some proprietary iPhone mp4 format, I guess) and I cannot designate an appropriate one. Does anyone know a converter that turns video files into "plain" mp4's or possibly this godforsaken H.264 format?

Try Total Video Converter - I got a copy and I just checked it does H.264, plus it supports practically every audio and video format out there.

Although you'll have to buy it/look for a crack/look for a torrent to get around the watermarks. But it is really worth it IMO, and is fantastic software.

SUPER, its free and its the best ever, trust me i looked everywhere and tried a bunch including ^^^ TVC, still SUPER is the best; i remember converting one file from 700mb to around 50mb, thats SUPER.
