Ehmm, just size probably, but that has never been an issue for me. Im more interested in what one of these can do rather than how it looks. My 60GB one is like a heavy deck of cards, but it is seriously useful.
You cant go wrong with creative, if they were marketed better there wouldnt be another ipod ever bought!! You can get all sorts of add ons for them, common sense ones like battery adapters. That means, when your battery runs out, you can power it off AA with a tiny device. This sounds simple, a LOT of the main mp3 players cant do this. I did long haul 14 and a half hours from Tokyo to Washington DC recently, watched most of the entire 3rd series of 24 on it. Usually the most you get it 3 hours!!
Also, creatives act as a mass storage unit and dont change the file type. Most others do, so its an automatic back up of everything you put onto it which can be drag-and-dropped straight onto your comp if needed. All other that I know of change the files to their own format and cant be transferred back.
I sound like a creative salesman!! Trust me though, they really are good.
