Movie Review:the Eye
This movie should have been called " The Brown Eye " as it was a steaming pile of shit. Jessica Alba didn't even expose any of her hotness to the lens. This was a shitty remake of some japanese film. The story was boring and unoriginal. The acting was uninspired. There was nothing visually stunning. The special effects sucked. The ending was gay. The middle was gay. The begining was gay. On a scale of 1-10, this movie should get a 1.

I really disagree that the original sucked. I thought it was excellent, especially the climactic scene in the traffic jam (don't want to reveal any more than that).
BTW, I don't think it was a Japanese film; I may be wrong, but I think it was Thai.

Sounds like it was super-gay, that makes your proposed title of "the brown eye" even that much more fitting. I had the feeling that it would be a sub-par flick. I make sure and miss this one.

the original in my opinion is 1 of the scariest n creepy films ive seen with a very great storyline. ive told alot of people about this movie n they should see it n they all loved it n still felt creeped out the next day talkin 2 me about it. the remake with j alba 2 me is a joke. she is hot but she cant act. im a big movie buf n it sucks that after this long since the original came out so many years ago that this is the best hollywood came up with........

The eye was ok. I went in there not expecting much so there wasnt a let down. It sure didnt help that alba wasnt all glammed up for the movie. Since it was a scary movie, shes all strung out and scared looking. Lame.

I stand corrected. But didn't the main character speak Thai, and wasn't she Thai by ethnicity? She didn't look Chinese, and from the little Thai I know (from studying at an authentic MT gym), it sure sounded like she was speaking Thai (it sure didn't sound like what little Mandarin I know; Cantonese maybe?). But it's been years since I saw it, so I'm probably not remembering accurately.
