Most brilliant strategic generals in history

1. Julius Ceasar
2. Desert Fox ( this guys doesn't get enough credit)
3. Robert E Lee...He could of created more strategic positioning for the Confederates.
4. Khalid ban Walid
5. Alexsander
6. Napoleon
7. Hannibal
8. Mcarthur
9. Gengis Khan

IMO...What do you guys think?

..For someone who had to work with constant shortages of supplies and dwindling number of men and somehow still manage to win a string of victories against the North's war machines is remarkable to the tee don't you think?

And if you're going praise Lee...Better mention Jackson too. Between the two, Jackson was the better tactical strategist, and the victory at Chancellorsville would've been impossible without him.

Where would Sam Houston fit in on your list? Not saying he would be top ten, but he brilliantly organized the Texans into a coherent Army and carefully chose his battles with Santa Ana's army, beating what was on paper a superior army.
