That stuff irritates me badly too. Women has no right talking about who "needs" to go to the army, or any person who has not served for that matter. I served in the army 1 year because I had to, all Norwegian men (at that time) had to do 1 year in the army.
At the time I did not want to go, I wanted to go to school etc.. but instead I was shipped to a base way up north in Norway, above the polar circle aprox 1000 miles away from my home and girlfriend.
I was put on a
M113 as a driver. Do you have any idea how cold it is driving one of these fuckers with an open hatch in -35 degrees celcius for several hours straight??
Anyways, I had some really tough, dark and depressing moments that year, but I also had some moments I would not want to be without.. In conclusion..no man or woman who has not served themselves has any right to justify mandatory military service.. but it was one hell of a year and I am glad I experienced it! Also, there is no doubt in my mind that it can do many people some good serving in the army, but it is not for everyone.
