Mel Gibson most historically inaccurate director?

I was reading an article today about the guy the movie The Patriot was based on. The guy was a mean bastard in real life, slaughtering several innoecent Cherokee Indians and constantly raped his female slaves.

This got me thinking, is there a director that makes more historically inaccurate movies than Mel Gibson?

i.e. The Patriot, Braveheart, Apocalypto

Ummm...most history is not all that accurate anyway. History is a story and stories always leave certain things out (or add shit that never happened). That being said, yes Mr. Gibson does take some liberties with his films.

ya he does make some good movies, but the only problem I had with Apocalypto was I couldn't focus on the movie because all of the characters bad teeth. I know he was trying to be somewhat historically accurate and there weren't dentists and tooth brushs back than but damn those were some horrible teeth.

He had to take some liberties with the truth to appeal to cinema-goers. Nobody would have really liked Wallace if the film was accurate (not to say that his cause was a bad one, but he was not exactly the nicest guy around).
