He uses long form humor, which doesn't turn into 30 second clips well.

In 40 Year Old Virgin, it was hilarious when Carrell talked about potato salad for 6 minutes straight, in Knocked Up when Seth and Rudd were riffing off each other during the double date kept getting funnier the longer it went.

It also reminds me of the promotion of Hot Fuzz. Every preview had to show Nick Frost failing to jump over the fence, but that was the only instance of that form of humor in the movie (pretty much).
Hot Fuzz was TOTALLY different by way of the preview. I was expecting blatanst British humor as seen in "Shaun of the Dead" but it was a lot more rough and dry, but great in hot Fuzz. However, that sort of thing could turn people off.

I love and enjoy writing, if you guys would like shorter reviews, say so, these reviews are for you guys. So feedback and criticism is always appreciated, more so than compliments.

Let me know.

The shorter ones I'm talking about don't really give the outline and plot at all. Just a quick opinion like, "Fantastically done. Reily is a comedic genius." A little longer, but close to that.

Sure I could do that.

How about, Give an introduction, have the first section of the review be done as a short "at-a-glance" review, and if others are interested in the details, I could do the in depth review later on.

Sounds good to me.

While I visited a friend in Dallas, I got to see an advance screener of Hot Fuzz where Dolph Lundgren introduced the movie. After the movie Pegg, Frost and Wright came out and did a Q&A. They were hilarious and provided background, prep and behind the scenes stories. It was awesome.

Nice, never had any opportunities like that in film.

Saw this finally this weekend. I must say, it was pretty entertaining. I laughed out loud at quite a few points, and overall, believe it or not, it actually turned out to be a pretty feel-good movie at the end!!
