I'm not American bit I'd advice you to wait until the new prez (whoever) gets elected, actually a few months after that before deciding on enlisting.

A sailor and a Marine were hanging out when they saw an Army MP with a guard dog. The Marine said, "Look the Army has dogs to protect them but you guys have us." The sailor responded, "Yeah, the Army always gets first choice."

A guy in the air force I know told me, "The Navy is full of gays, and the Marines are full of bigger stronger gays."

Lol in seriousness, Air Force will give you more opportunities without getting shot at. Plus you don't have to be stuck in a ship with a bunch of dudes.

If you have the credentials then try for the Air Force.
If not then Navy all the way without a doubt.

The Army and Marines may offer you a signing bonus that is significantly larger than the aforementioned branches, but I encourage you AT ALL COST DO NOT JOIN THE ARMY OR MARINES unless you want to be in the fucking desert the moment you get out of basic training.

Based on your post you don't want any part of the sand. Stay on a ship. See the world.

Don't join the military unless you absolutely have no choice. And if you do join, just join for 2-3 years. I was in the Navy for 4 years btw.

Estral, let me ask you a few questions:

What kind of shape are you in?

What part of the country do you live in?

As far as going into a business related field after your service is up, any branch will be fine since you are not enlisting to learn any industry specific trade.

Not necessarily a career, but you would be required to re-up at least once.
