This series has been the best in the whole series. I honestly think there are different opinions of the show from people who watched it from when it first aired (me), and people who started watching maybe a year or two ago and started up from the DVDs. I really don't see how any season compares to this season. So much has actually happened in these episodes. My only problem is that they clearly just had about 3 filler episodes in a row because they were unsure of the status of the show leading up to the writer strike.

These last 5, kind of 6 episodes are just going to be amazing. I'm so excited for a week from now, the preview looks insane. It just sucks, because you figure Sawyer has to die soon (unless he is one of the people who get stuck on the island when the Oceanic Six leave). I just really want Jack to die. I think the attitudes on Jack and other characters are different for people who have watched from the beginning compared to DVD as well.

It is just a coincidence.

I have watched since the start, and Jack has always been one of my favorite characters. I know X The Dude X and I totally disagree on which side we would be on i.e. statying on the island vs. being rescued.

It's shitty for sure, but I have the feeling that Sawyer will die as well. Probably not until the final season, but it won't be a shocker if they do kill him to me. He's easily in my top 3 favorite characters on the show. He really has that chip on this shoulder now, and since killing Locke's dad, he has a much more hardcore spirit to him now, like when he killed a few of the Others on the beach in the season 3 finale when they were surrendering. I loved his response though when Hurley asked him why he did it, "I didn't trust them."

And I've always wanted to see Jack die since season 1. It's funny that originally the character was written to die in the pilot episode and Kate was going to be the "leader". But ABC didn't like the idea of introducing and hyping up a character to the audience, only to kill him off 2 hours later into the series.

And if I could have the choice to bring back any character from the series, it'd be Mr. Eko, he was awesome!

I bet you still think I'm nuts for wanting to be on the island, and not caring to find any way off at all.

X The Dude X would like to live on the island as it is on the show with the Others hunting him, the smoke monster, and all the craziness.

He is not all there.

That was the first good laugh I've had today, thanks

Granted you're right, I'm not all there. And I'd rather live on just an island without the wacky shit. But I'd still like to be on The Island with wack job Others and smoke monsters and the random leg of a statue. That's excitement in my book! I'm all about living and experiencing and doing off the wall shit, and that'd be the perfect place to live that out.

I've lived in too many small towns where the only thing to do is go to a bar or to the movies in my day. And I have so much drama and bullshit going on in my life today, that at this point, I'd welcome being dropped off on the Island to live out the rest of my days. Hunt for my food, deal with the conditions, run for my life, have beautiful scenery all day every day. Sign me up!

You could have hooked up with Rousseau if she had not been assassinated.
