This show is so damn awesome.
We need some damn clarification on what the shit is happening. though.
Just a wee bit of non-mystery please!

Great episode. Starts with a huge WTF moment when Sayid shoots the guy on the golf course.
So we know Sayid is one of the Oceanic 6, Ben survives into the future, Sayid is working for Ben as an assassin to "save his firends", Ben has been off the island many times, and there is a time differential between the real world and the island....what else did we learn?
Next week we get to see who is on the boat too.

Didn't they say also another person of the Oceanic Six will be revealed next week? So far we have Jack, Kate, Hurley, and Sayid. I'm guessing Claire will be one of them since Desmond had a premonition of her getting in a helicopter. As for the other one I'd just say Sawyer since Kate was with someone when she was talking to Jack in that flashforward last season.

The time differential implies serious relativistic issues. The Lost island might not even be on Earth proper.

Dimensions/time travel/etc. and all that. I still think there was a sort of black hole that sucked the hatch/bunker in.
And I KNEW Ben got off the island, HA. It could still be him in that casket, though. If you think about the arc that Jack's character ends up going through by the "WE HAVE TO GO BACK, KATE!" point, it would make a lot of sense: small casket, it's a man, NO ONE shows up to his funeral except a Jack whose opinion has drastically changed about the island since.

I dunno....it seems to me like they're finally starting to pull shit together. The flashbacks have now turned into flashforwards, suggesting that at least some people get off the island. That rocket experiment the physicist was doing suggests that there may be something to the idea that the island in is a timewarp or exists in some sort of other dimension (that's not really the right word but whatever)
I agree with a lot of people here though. Ever since the second season, LOST has seemed a little too much like a soap. The plot moves foward at a snail's pace and simple questions that could be answered within one episode take half the season to receive an ambiguous answer. But I've invested all this time....I want to know how it ends. At this point, I hope it ends sooner than later.

The end is in two and half seasons....about 45 more episodes. I think they have it pretty well plotted and we will not see anymore space fillers like we did with the tail section people and the two jewel thieves that were buried alive.

Oh a couple of other things we learned...Ben has medical skills and may work as/masquerade as a veterinarian.
Sawyer pretty much asked Kate to marry him.

Quoting myself for emphasis. This might be a first...
Anyway, I should clarify: I think they're alive and on Earth but the plane of existence is slightly skewed via some sort of wormhole. I've felt this ever since we caught multiple people (Alex's boyfriend, Sawyer) reading "A Wrinkle in Time" and when the hatch imploded (as opposed to exploded).
