I know, but isn't it great.
On a side note it was good to finally see Desmond turn up for a little bit tonight. Hopefully Sayid and him can get some more answers on that ship. I just wished we knew who Ben's guy was. It might be that Minkowski (or whatever his name is) guy they keep mentioning.

Or here's something crazy that I've been thinking for the past week, what if it's Michael. He's back for this season, but we haven't seen him yet. Just a wild guess on my part.

To be honest I think the writers of Lost are pulling this show out of their ass each week. You can't tell me you believe they know where they're going with the show. After all, the initial show was only set to be like 3 episodes in total. Then they were forced to expand on it. What happened to the monsters shaking the trees? Polar bears? Lot of plot holes and unanswered/abandoned questions. Why do I keep watching it?

Damn Lindelof has said in interviews that they have the end planned and more or less scripted out, and those were in interviews from '06 and '07. All their original plans for the show pretty much changed after the pilot was made. Hell, Jack was originally going to die in the pilot and Kate was going to be the leader, I can't even imagine that at this point in time. I guess they do have a method to their madness, but they love fucking with us it seems.

Without structure though they just make things happen out of convenience. Gilligan's island lasted what, 2 or 3 seasons? I can't see Lost going on for much longer than that. But it's set for 5? At least Gilligan's island had a plot and ended each episode with a conclusion. Lost has a bunch of fillers. Useless background info that doesn't really contribute to the main plot, useless scenes that occupy time.
It's like a god damned soap opera. They spend 6 weeks answering one question, dragging it out forever, when it could have been easily resolved in a few episodes.

There's this season and then two more seasons. And that's it.

It's like watching a bad movie for me... I've already invested this much time into it so I feel obligated to see it through. However at the same time it's dragging on and on. I watch it every week though so either I'm an idiot or they're doing something right. Maybe I'm secretly hoping it will all make sense...

And I wonder what's up with that. Could be something involving a natural anomaly associated with the island.

It was 31 minutes.

I know: how did they parachute in if the island is covered? Maybe it was turned off (it needn't be actual glass; it could be a force field, like Ben has said), but then turned on again.
Whatever, I think the unusual light dispursement is a key.

If's about damn time they made a series spinoff of Bio-Dome.
I agree with whoever said the island is a parallel reality accessed via time travel. It reminds me of the plane crash at the end of Donnie Darko.
