But with this show these people could be some other group that battled with Dharma a long time ago or something.

Maybe Penny's dad is with the New Dharma. I think Jack's dad may be connected with the original island inhabitants.

I'm still sticking to my theory that we're dealing with more than on dimension and that the polar bear bones found in the desert are the remains of one of the polar bears on that island, at a different time/era/dimension. Obviously, The Dharma Initiative is behind it all, running weird experiments. But to what purpose, I haven't a clue.
Last night's episode was definitely one of the more exciting ones I've seen in quite some time.
Any idea who the full set of 6 people are that left the island? We've already got Jack, Kate and Hurley. I'm thinking possibly Sayid and Juliette are two more, since they're the ones who are currently in Jack's group on the island, meaning one other person leaves Locke's group. I'm thinking it's Ben, and that's whose funeral we saw Jack visiting, and why no one else was attending. It would only make sense that Jack would form somewhat of a regretful kinship with a deceased-Ben since Jack's attitude about the island has clearly changed to the complete opposite (meaning Ben was right, all along).

I'm keeping myself away from reading the spoilers at a webpage (lostpedia.org, pretty cool website with uptodate information) because I've already read a couple of them regarding the first episodes and they've proven to be right. So unfortunally it wont come as a shocker seeing who the oceanic six are, deffinetly not a show to read spoilers.

Julliette was not on the plane so she cannot be one of the Oceanic 6. I agree with Sayid.

If they want revenge for killing the Dharma people why send a physisist, a pilot, an archeologist, and a psychic? you could be right since that was Naomi's complaint stating she needed field ops personnel.

One last post in a row...who is Ben's spy on their ship?
I think it will turn out to be Michael. I don't know how else they are going to get him back on the island.

Yea, the way they made it look last night Naomi must have been some kind of bad ass for whoever she works for, and she was kind of pissed they were sending the ones they did with her.

That's what all signs are pointing to, but a friend of mine has conjectured something much more interesting.
What if his "man" is someone in the new group on the island? Seems like a really bold move to shoot Red, doesn't it? Doesn't she look like someone from Ben's Dharma past?
