But more importantly...it shouldn't be too hard for people to figure out that the baby is not Kate's. After all, we do discover that Claire's mother is alive and well in the flash-forwards, and I am guessing she would be concerned about the well-being of her grandson.
I dunno...it just doesn't seem like an easy lie to cover up, in my opinion.

In one of the last episodes of this season Jack saw Claire's mom at a funeral and she revealed to Jack that Claire was his sister.

Would that explain why Jack refuses to see the baby in the flashforwards?
He's angry about or ashamed of the fact that the child he contemplated raising as his own is actually his newly-discovered half-sister's son, a result of his father's infidelity?

That is defintely the reason he lashed out at Kate during one of the arguements in the flash forwards and yelled, "That she is not even related to Aaron."
Kate did not hear that he was Claire's half brother.

OH, I thought you said Claire. I was thinking that Claire was alive and I missed something.

Definitely does suck that it doesn't return until January or February of next year. And only 16 episodes, though supposedly they will be shown in a row with no breaks in the schedule.
