weren't they at the temple, where ben was sending alex/carl/danielle? i thought he said something about how "that's where our people are" or something. but yeah, they could have been anywhere, just camping out in the jungle.

Yeah, that's not too bad. I would love to see what Libby was like, she just looks so trashed in that mugshot.

when she was explaining to someone about what the others had done to her group of people and she said something like "then they came back... and took nine more...." annoyed the hell out of me. just the way she stressed "nine" was so condescending and trying too hard to be tough or something. i don't know, her "i'm so tough and have had such a hard time so i'm going to be a bitch" attitude was just distilled into that one line for me.
|
I remember back at the beginning of season 2 when I read that she was cast into the show, I was pretty upset. Then to find out she's the main person of the tail section survivors, that just made it worse. I would have rathered had Eko or Bernard as the main person of their group. But since Eko had taken the vow of silence, I guess that would've made him as leader kinda hard to get across.

yeah, i meant that they didn't get a chance to meet on the island. i'm not sure if they did or not, but i don't remember it.
|
I honestly can't remember if they met again on the island either. Out of boredom and annoyance that Lost is gone for the next 8 months, I just started re-watching the entire series a few nights ago. So I guess before long when I get to season 2 I'll see if they do meet up again.
Not sure if anyone here is into audio commentary on dvd's(I'll admit that I'm a fan of them), But since I've started watching the series over again, I'm watching all the episodes in order of course, but watching the select episodes with commentary as well. You learn some cool shit that way, and they'll point out things and motifs that I never saw or paid attention to.

They could've definitely been camping out there. Part of me wondered if the mercs knew about that spot and went to check there first, and then that's when they shot Danielle and Karl and kidnapped Alex since they were on their way there. It's anybodies guess though.
Here's a random question, I'd forgotten about the brunette flight attendant that ended up siding with the Others until I was re-watched the pilot a few nights ago. She was the one that was watching over those 2 little kids. They haven't shown in awhile, is she still alive or was she killed and I just don't remember?

They were up on that hilltop location, when Ben signaled them with the mirror.

i assumed the Orchid was the "temple". The Others wouldn't call places by their Dharma name, so it would make sense when Ben was talking to the Others he would use the spiritual name instead of the scientific Dharma station name.

she just looks like she was liquored up and crying her eyes out for getting caught. I have no experience spotting coke heads though so I will defer to those of you with experience.

I hate to prolong the whole DUI debate, but I would take anything the producers say with a grain of salt as far as what they had planned and what they didn't.
They were playing everything by ear back then, stretching it out, because they had no idea when the series would end and had to extend the story.
They did not have those seasons mapped well in advance.

no, the orchid and the temple are two different places. i'm not sure if "the temple" is the dharma name for it, but it had a dharma symbol that is on the map that ben gives alex, and it's not the same symbol as the orchid.
