It does suck having to wait around for 2 years to see the final product. But I'm just glad all the writers guild shit is set, so we won't have a damn interruption and lose out on episodes over these next two seasons like we had happen this year.

what a badass show. my highlights:
when keamy was walking through the orchid station being all "i have this heart-rate monitor that will blow up the ship if i get killed", and the camera cutting to ben and even though he didn't say anything or really have any visible facial expressions i know he was thinking 'that's convenient.' and for that he's a badass.
when they pulled desmond out of the water and i was in as much suspense over whether he would survive or not as the characters on the show.
when ben turned that crank and shit under the orchid station, and all those weird pillars and whatnot. pure lost moment.
when jack went to the funeral parlor i was completely in the dark as to who would be in the coffin. when ben walked in i was pretty sure it wouldn't be him (though you can never be too sure). but when jack started talking about how bentham had told him that bad shit happened on the island and that it was jack's fault and that he needed to go back i knew it must be locke.
when the portuguese guy said "miss widmore" it was pretty good, but didn't have anywhere near the impact of the end of constant.

That episode was one of the best in my opinion, im a particular fan of sawyer so im wondering what the hell he is going to do come the start of next season. Moving the island was the highlight of the episode in my opinion.

That was really great..so many things were answered.
Highlights for me:
I loved Miles even though he was on screen for just a minute. "Hmmm I wonder what I mean?" That was so good.
Locke being in the coffin.
Ben is just becoming more bad ass. Beat the crap out of Keemy and stabs him to death. He is one cold bastard.
Sayid should have a whole spin-off series about his activities once off the island.
Questions raised:
Charlotte's history with the island
What did Sawyer say to Kate before jumping
What happened to Michael? I think it is clear Jin was killed, but I am not sure about Michael.
Who does Sun blame for Jin's death? Widmore or Ben or Jack or others?
Is this the last we see of Desmond?
any others?

I don't think Michael or Jin are dead; their deaths were way too ambiguous - I can already see the big, surprising reuniting between Jin and Sun when she eventually goes back (after Jack's heavy convincing - in fact, maybe he learns Jin's alive and that's what convinces her).
I think Charlotte's role is now directly intertwined with Juliette and the whole pregnancy subplot.
And Locke's going full-out zombie and coming back.
I also now see the structure of how the next season might play out: We're going to get the original formula, of present-day story with flashbacks from the past, only it's going to work a bit differently. The present-day will consist more-so of the activities going on for the Oceanic 6 as well as the other people who are back in the real world. The flashbacks will chronicle the events that transpired in some of the 3 years that passed on the island while they were all away, to fill in the gaps of what happened after they left. By the time we get to the last season, I think flashbacks will be featured far less and we'll get a structure of all present day activity.

i think it would be Jack that she blames and in my view she has a point. Jack is always so eager to 'save' the ones that he cares about i.e. Kate, Hurley. But when it comes to risking his life for someone else's loved one he is not willing.
I also wonder why the hell Locke is being called Jeremy Bentham and why the heck he's dead?

What happended to the people that were being shuttled to the ship from the island? I was flipping channels and must have missed that part. Were they on the boat when it blew?

No they did not show it. They were all getting on their life preservers and looked to be getting loaded on a boat when the helicopter was taking off. Jin came running out on deck and the ship exploded.
By the comments made by those on the helicopter about no one being in the water, we could assume that even those loading up the boat did not make it. There also was no mention of Daniel or anyone on the Zodiac he was using to ferry people.

A couple of other questions:
What happened to Daniel and the Zodiac?
Why was Daniel so insistent that they needed off the island on that next trip when Miles and Charlotte decided to stay?
