No one's mentioned it yet, and I just remembered it, but what do you all think is being broadcast on the freighter that is blocking out the infrared signal?

There's hardly anyone even left on the boat now, all the mercs are on the island. So who or what is broadcasting a signal from the boat?

I was wondering why it seems out of the oceanic 6 who got off the Island they all seem to be doing well with the exception of Hurley and jack…jack has a pill and drinking problem but he always kind of had that. But Hurley is a skitzo and is back in a mental hospital. Do you think that when Hurley was on the island it cured him of his mental illness that’s why he was one of the most calm and rational characters. But off the island he seems to go insane and cant deal with reality.. I just thought of this the other day since the island seems to cure people like Locke being able to walk and I think its Bernard’s wife being cancer free or something like that… would you guys agree that Hurley is really mentally ill in the real life but the island makes him sane?

People have mentioned the thing on keamy's arm is attached to the explosives. I think that's the signal.

Yeah, if that thing on his arm is connected to the explosives, that would make sense that the C4 has some form of receiver attached to it that would be blocking the signal. I wonder if there's any way to bypass and defuse the explosives or if it'll just end up going up in a boom regardless.

I've long thought Desmond would die because I don't think his physical resemblance to Jesus is an accident. And the way Sun kept looking back -- almost regretfully -- as the door was slowly closing on the freighter makes me think that the people inside are going to die.

But... Penelope's character makes me think Desmond will live. I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but in Homer's Odyssey, Penelope was Odysseus' wife. Her name is associated with faithfulness, as she remained faithful to Odysseus during his voyage and is eventually reunited with him when he returns.

The interference is caused by the explosives. Desmond went to find what was causing the interference and that is when he found the explosives.

I don't see why Keamy would do this. Why would he want to blow up the boat? Who the fuck would he be screwing over? Not Ben, certainly.

Sawyer was indeed alive as Kate was speaking to him on the phone. Jack thought she was having an affair and got jealous - made worse by her saying it was Sawyer after all. But it wasn't an affair, it was a "favour".
