I think Ben flashing the mirror was his plan that he mentioned to Locke; he was communicating, possibly via morse code, to come to the Orchid.

Yeah, that's a good possibility. He probably knew that the mercs would already be waiting at the Orchid, so he communicated to whoever with the mirror that he would turn himself in as a distraction, and to bring all the Others there to ambush the Keamy and his group.
I just wonder if that does happen, if Keamy will then activate that devise around his arm and send the freighter up in smoke. Because that guy's nuts, and if thinks he's not making it out alive, I'm sure he could give a shit if anyone on the boat lives either. Plus that destroys any and all evidence that the boat or crew was ever there in the first place.

she got her settlement plus Jin's?
I am pretty sure the Temple could easily be the Orchid.

I like this idea. Now watch Locke kill Keamy and thus blow up the freighter.

Also, Keamy could be using this as a way of not getting him killed. He could go all "If you touch me the freighter goes boom!" but on the other hand I wonder if The Others care about that, I'm pretty sure the losties do since they think its the only way off the island, but The Others would probably just kill him and not care either way.

This is exactly what I see happening. Not to mention that, if you noticed, they were putting all the no-named Oceanic survivors on the boat, meaning this would be a good way to off all of them in a plausible way. At that point, 95% no-name's die, the other 5% being some key characters and all that's left are people who really matter to the core of the story.

The Oceanic press agent had to be in on the cover up and I am sure Oceanic put together most of the story together about where the plane crashed, what islands they were on, and how they were found.
There is no way Jack or any of the survivors could come up with that, and sell it to Oceanic and the Coast Guard on there own.
That is probably why the settlements are larger than what you would expect them to be. On top of the 10's of millions they received they got a "Fly for Free" pass, which we know Jack uses every weekend in future.
My guess is that we find out Widmore owns Oceanic.

This was my guess, as well. It wouldn't be surprising to find out that the settlement money came from Mr. Moneybags himself. He wants to keep that island a secret just as much as Ben does.

Lost is a show that is usually pretty realistic and detail oriented. I was surprised to see such a stretch of reality with that apparent billion dollar settlement Sun received.

That and the whole cover-up part. Why would Oceanic want to pretend that the plane crash was found at the beginning of the season? They did that whole website for it and everything and talked about the money it would cost and where did the bodies come from?
It has top be Widmore in order to divert anyone from looking where the island might be.
