I've talked about earlier in the thread, but I was really against the show at first because after 3 different auditions, I was turned down for the Boone character. That's my natural instinct, they turn me down, so I say "Fuck them and that show".
And parts of me thought it'd just end up being cheesy and a Survivor-ish ripoff. And since most of the actors were unknowns, that made me doubt it at first too.
But the interest was still there, so I ended up watching the first episode and really liking it, and have been a fan since. That whole first season, I was a kind of a bitter fan, but over time the show really won me over.

I've had the same feeling since the end of season 3 for some reason. Would not surprise me if it ends up being true. Theres so many similairites between the two it's crazy.

The post was talking about Locke and Ben similarities. The way in which their fathers wer killed illustrates how different they are not how similar they are.

I think patricide is the perfect example of the Locke-Ben character dynamic. Even thought they both did the same task, the way in which they did it was differentl.

My guess is for confirmation of his greatest regret, that everyone remaining on the island was killed. Jack's flashfoward in that episode coincided with his scene with Ben, where Ben warns him that everyone on the island will die. I believe what someone else theorized, that Michael was sent by Ben to intercept the freighter. So Michael's death would suggest he failed, and the freighter got to the island and bad things happened.
Penelope's father seems very much like a man motivated by money. Ben told Locke that the island is a place people would want to visit and see, who wouldn't be interested in a place that cured a man's paralysis? What a great money making venture, so long as the others and the survivors can be eradicated from the island.

A man from New York.
Since posting this, I've learned that Jack attended Columbia University, which we all know is in Manhattan. Makes you wonder if Christian Shepard was originally from New York before moving to Los Angeles. The flash=forward scene in the LA funeral home wasn't the first time we saw Jack look into a coffin.

He was supposed to play Jack when Jack was slated to die in the first ep.

I remember reading that years back, but he's not in it. So my original statement still stands, a large majority of the actors on Lost were unknowns back in '04.
That's not always a bad thing, I'm sure some of the best actors on the planet aren't in the spotlight. And Lost does have some great actors in the cast.

Even if he was on it, it's not like Michael Keaton is in his acting prime. And the majority of actors on lost are relative unknowns.
