I wasn't paying that great of attention, but the guy in the preview that said he's been dead for 12 years, was that Roger, Ben's dad? It looked like him, but I wasn't positive.

The preview showed Ben, Locke, and Hurley in the jungle and running into a guy who said he's been dead for 12 years, and I think it looked like Ben's dad. It was inconclusive if those 3 make it to Jacob's cabin or not in the episode.
It also said something along the lines of "a survivor makes an incredible discovery" and showed Locke during that line, so I'm not sure if next weeks episode will be Locke-centric or not.
And it also showed Sayid and Desmond talking with Michael on the freighter about how the commando group is going to go kill everyone and that they need to do something to get the survivors off the island before bad shit happens. That's the basic low-down from the preview.

What the hell happened to Claire...who has her because she would not voluntarily leave Aaron?
I loved Sawyer and his restraining order back firing on him. That mdae me laugh. Alsi loved his line about putting a boot in Miles face.

Sawyers restraining order bit was damn funny. And when Miles said "she left in the middle of the night. I would've followed her...but you know..I had a restraining order", that was good stuff. I like that Miles character, he's got some cool aspects for sure.
And I wonder if Sawyer sticks around on the island to keep looking for Claire or if he'll give up a possible seat on the helicopter to make sure Kate gets to leave the island.

I noticed that too, that is odd. Almost like the smoke monster was purely a distraction instead of a killing tool in that situation. And we've seen the monster kill before, not really sure why it didn't kill that time around.

it must mean something though that only jack and ben have gotten sick on the island while everyone else that was sick or disabled is cured
