anyone who's beyond disc 2, how much more awesome does the game get? Also, who's your main 5?

It gets better as it progresses.

Right now I have all the characters and my main 5 are the 4 immortals and I rotate a mortal in and out of the group just to learn skills for them. I am grinding and such now before I push towards the end of the game.

Since I finished Oblivion, I've been looking for a good RPG for the 360. I have Mass Effect and love it, but I'm looking for something else. Is Lost Odyssey worth buying? I don't like the later FF games as the setting is too futuristic and the main characters are too androgynous. I'm more into the fantasy type RPG's. Do you guys think this game would work for me?

So far this one seems kind of like a mix to me. You might find the main character Kaim at times (looks only) to be androgynous but he more than makes up for it in badassness. I would recommend it man, i'm falling in love with the story more and more as I play. Rent it first and give it a try

Thanks! I'll probably do that this weekend. Does XBOX Live have a demo download? I could probably try it there. I tried the Demo for Blue Dragon (I think that's what it is called) and it was way too cartoony for me.

The last boss was tough as nails. And I got my characters to lvl 62.

I use Kaim, Ming, Jansen, Seth and Sed.

Ming Numara is HOT.

Meh, my crush is on Seth. I love me some pirates. Sed is great, I love his double SP skill for farming SP for the immortals.

Why Janesen though? Sarah's casting time is faster and more powerful, is it not?

Yeah, but I've played using Jansen since the beginning, so I don't want to replace him. He kinda grew on me.

Ya know I never checked to see if LIVE had a demo download. Def check that first and if not rent it. The story is really compelling though thus far and the voice acting is actually really good in my opinion. You really get a sense (if you read the dreams as well, and please do) of the sincere pain that Kaim is feeling.

I took a break near the end of disc 2, I was getting frustrated stealing all those damn gate keys in the enemy base. I should finish it, but I keep distracting myself with Crisis Core.
