Life in a mess now,i'm confuse...need serious advice

I'm a 20 yr old guy who suck at studies.I did muay thai, boxing, tkd and mma ( yea i noe lots of martial arts ) for tis few years and always hope to fight professionally since i won't be good at studying ever.

Now my life is in a mess,i just graduated from ITE ( a certain courses in singapore that was slighter of lower standard than diploma but still recieve recognition ) and i was unable to get into a diploma courses due to my below average results.

My gf's family start shit with me and try to break us up ( because her brother dislike me ).I tried to show them im hardworking and good by offering to help them out in the family business but no one appreciate me at all.

Now,i wanted to go to thailand and train in muay thai for a couple of weeks but my family disagree...im lost now

I need serious and mature advice..seriously

Anything is possible as long as you work hard and put your mind to it 100 percent. I'm not familiar with the education system in Singapore so its hard for me to give you advice in that area except, try to get educated however you can. It is worth it. Even if you can't get in certain classes, just go to the library and educate yourself if you have to. Don't let anyone hold you back if you want to fight pro either. You seem old enough to make your own decisions so do what you truly desire but I still recommend getting more education no matter what you do. Good luck and be positive.

When I was 20 I thought my life was horrible and thought nothing would change. Trust me, life gets better.

I'm 32 now and remember being miserable at 20, but could not even tell you why anymore.

The one thing that got me through those early years was something like "It's not the goal that matters, but the journey in getting there."

Take every day one day at a time and hang in there. Things do get better.

You're 20 years old right? If you want to go, go! It is your life, not your parents. The only person that can stop you is you.

I think what he means to say is "my parents wont buy me the ticket / place to stay in thailand while i train / etc"

otherwise, why bring it up? cause it's exactly that, you're life, do what you want with it man

He must be saying that families still hold more sway
in his culture than they do now in ours. I'm not saying
they are right for sure but your parents and the gf's parents
are potentially wiser than you. Don't discount what they say
just because you don't like it. And as the father of a teenage
daughter I can't honestly say I fault the gf's parents. No offense.
