Law students....website for noobs?

I think I read there are quite a few law students on here so maybe someone can help. I'm taking a business law class and my professor doesn't give adequate examples for me to see concepts applied and my textbook has zero examples. Are there any websites or forums out there that gives simple 3-5 sentence scenarios that apply basic concepts? When I google certain important terms together I get these long drawn out cases or explanations. A real PITA to sort through. Thanks.

Well, that all depends on what you mean by "business law" as the following indicates:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...ess_law_topics

However, if I were you I would visit one of the legal books online such as:

www.barristerbooks.com
west.thomson.com

They usually have outlines, and commercial case brief outlines that are keyed to your specific book, as well as the examples and explanations series which is a tremendous help.

^^ That's what I would say. My university has a great website where every imaginable source is available. The databases are intimidating until you learn how to search the right way, but really Lexis Nexis is all you probably need.

You could just get a secondary source such as Glannon for the subject. Thats what law students use. Lexis and Westlaw are mainly for doing legal research, and you have to know how to use them. Not to mention they are costly.

Buy a commercial subject outline. Nutshell guides, Immanuel's, Gilberts. That's what law students use. It explains the law as simply as possible, without all the weird vocabulary and strange levels of abstraction.

Example:

www.findlaw.com is pretty good too. it's a comprehensive site.

i forgot to mention that lexis nexis requires a subscription fee unless, of course, your school provides it for free.
