Last.fm (Music Recommendations)
If you don't know what Last.fm is... prepare yourself! This is the TRUE way to explore the musical horizons. If you don't have an account signing up is easy and free. The only thing is you have to listen to music on your PC. If you do that you simply install a plug-in for Winamp, Windows Media Player, Foobar, whatever you use... even an iPod.

Then it keeps a track of what you listen to and records data and forms charts and gives you a profile. You can compare compatabilities and make recomendations to people. jk. i have an account, I created one when I installed Banshee player on my computer. it's an okay service. they need some more country music though.

is it like pandora? that site was great, sadly they later limited to the users to US only

you type in an artist or song you like and pandora creates a radio station with similar artists/songs

you can create differnt stations or have a combined station with differtn types

and you can link to your station and post it on forums or trhu messenger services

It is free but you'll have mroe options if you pay(like skipping songs if you are usng it for free you only have 5 skips an hour or sumthin)

Indeed they do man. If you're looking for new tunes I recommend Autechre, Frog Pocket, Apparat, Venetian Snares and edIT.

It's much more interactive than pandora and offers all of Pandora's features with a social networking community that isn't all lame like Myspace.
