I train mma and i went to krav maga place just to see what all the hype was about.
Needless to say I wasnt overly impressed. They dont train hard enough and realistically enough to fully implement the techniques they show.
Honestly a good mma gym which competes in local shows will show you everything they show but with a greater emphasis and more "realistic" training.
I mean if you train muay thai stand-up (as we do in my gym) and can land inside low kicks on trained fighters with ease, dont you think it would be just as easy to land kicks to the groin?
In fact a thai fighter would do this easier as they do this is a "live" sparring sessions. Not coreographed routines.
If you want to learn how to fight, you must practice fighting against someone who is fighting back, not against a static partner
KNOWLEDGE IS NOT POWER, THE ABILITY TO APPLY YOUR KNOWLEDGE, ESPECIALLY UNDER
PRESSURE, IS TRUE POWER
People also forget that kicking in the balls doesnt automatically = end of fight
A person hopped up on dope may not be feeling any pain that day, and if he is a professional mugger, he may be wearing a cup.
