Killing zombies

I was watching Dawn of the Dead again, and what went through my mind was the way they are killed. Since these are "Romero" zombies, you can incapacitate the brain as a means of killing them.

What I was wondering was since they are dead and their bodies have shut down, would that mean that the fluids in their body would dry up? I mean since your brain has a layer of fluid around it that protects it from slamming around inside your skull, without that does your brain just sit inside of it? Would it be easier to traumatize the brain that way?

Would Chuck Liddell or Igor or someone who punches very hard be a zombie killing machine since they can basically "concuss" the zombie?

First of all, zombie movies are not for critical thinking, just enjoy the carnage. Second, most of the "undead" are just hosts to a virus, maybe those organism help prevent that sort of decomposition.

"I don't think so Tim".

In the Romero series the reason for the reanimation of the recently dead is never explained and most likely isn't a virus as there is no way to be infected with it. Just one day people who died started coming back to life. Memmer, if you die you come back, you don't have to be bitten. In the third movie "Day of the Dead" it clearly shows the corpses are not immune to decomposition also.

First off, no one would ever send Igor to fight zombies because of his sheer likeability.
