little known fact i learned watching some weird TV channel that some hotels carry that specializes in movies but does not air any movies.

Costner was originally cast as the lead in Air Force One, but The Postman was taking too long for him in post-production that he gave the role to his friend Harrison Ford. I predict if he had done Air Force One, and had let someone else edit The Postman his career would have been great. The Postman has a good movie somewhere inside of it, just like Waterworld did, Costner just will not cut any film out of his movies. Dances with Wolves was the best but also worst thing that ever happened to him. After that movie he figured he could get away with 3 hour movies every time.

He's done some really poor movies, but Field Of Dreams is awesome. Mr Brooks is a terrible mess of a film.

For my top 3 decent Costner movies I would have to go with -

1) No Way Out

2) Revenge

3) The Untouchables

Gonna go with JFK and A Perfect World as runners-up.

Weirdly, I've not seen Dances With Wolves.

I always thought postman was ok. Waterworld was weak, and so were most of the others

Waterworld was awesome. It actually made profit from foreign returns, contrary to what others say. Postman was like an inferior sequel.
Untouchables is awesome as well.
Bodyguard was good, so is 3000 miles.

Tin Cup is decent.

For the love of game is crappy though.
Robin Hood was shitastically mediocre. C'mon, they butchered the story. And this movie had the best excuse for having a cast speaking with British accents, coz the story took place in England, but I guess he just couldn't pull it off.

Kevin Costner was in two early films i really liked but funny thing is he didn't even get any lines in them. The Big Chill and Night Shift.

I thought Silverado was great and Dances with Wolves, Bull Durham and the Untouchables. The Postman and waterworld were two of the worst movies ever made. of course that was more the crews fault than the cast.

I really haven't seen anything of his since the 1990's.
