How can you call people brainwashed that use facts and evidence? There is no proof of what you defend, and all you can say is 'he's god, he can do whatever.' And you're right, I was at onetime brainwashed. That was when I called myself a Christian.

Yes, "god" could be hiding in some unknown part of the universe.... next to a unicorn and flying spaghetti monster.
If you think otherwise, you are being dishonest and illogical ...

Ok fine you want to get technical, we can do that. Here is a 'zinger' for you. Since you worship Hovind and the idea of a young earth, answer me this. We have witnessed supernovas occur millions of light years away. Since, according to your young universe theory, light had to have been created en route to earth. This is the only way you can reconcile this idiotic belief. So when we witness a supernova what are we actually seeing? Did god create the supernova show en route to us as well? What are we actually seeing? A fictional light show? Why is your god such a deceptive god?

AThomBomb, i just looked at your profile and realized your occupation is "assets protection."
"Assets Protection" is a fancy way of saying retail security guard - meaning you work somewhere along the lines of a Walmart, Target, HEB, etc.
Its safe to say you are not an educated man - which leads me to my question: why do you bother attempting intellectual debate?
If you prefer to live a simple life as a simple man(ala Lynyrd Skynyrd), being traditional and shallow minded, following whatever dogma has been placed on your lap - thats fine. But why waste your time debating things when your mind is already sealed shut?
Most of us in here are actually openminded individuals; intelligence and openmindedness go hand in hand. Many of us, including myself, were religious at some point in our lives but have changed course due to evidence, logic, and openmindedness. I would be the first person to jump on "gods' bandwagon if presented with evidence or a good reason to - this is because im open to evidence and logic. We are not the brainwashed individuals in these conversations. We are not the one's who believe the same things as adults as we did as children. So i ask; why do you waste your time in here, considering your mind is already made up?

You believe it rained on a rock for billions of years, and non living material just came alive and then found something to eat and a mate to breed with and that became everything we see today. Buddy, it takes alot of faith to believe in your religion.
How is that a fact? Science does not work that way. You go ahead and believe a guy that married his first Cousin, and I will believe God. On the day of Judgement we will see who is right.

We are both adults so let's not play word games. Nobody has EVER observed this to happen or ever will. Only animals of the same KIND can interbreed. FACT
isn't that i can only be held responsible for what was reasonable for me to believe?
Read my post with the scripture verses. You are responsible for your own actions. If you look at a painting then reason will tell you there is a painter. Look at a building and know there was a builder. Now go outside tommorrow and look around. Look real close. Come back and tell me that this world made itself.
Hovind is a joke in the scientific community.

The majority is not always right, just look at the O.J. trial. The so called Scientific community believes there is a Geologic column that actually exists. The fossils date the rocks, but the rocks date the fossils better, right?

There is plenty of proof that the Bible is true. Was there really a Jericho? Roman empire? Nation of Isreal? Egypt? Babylon? And so on and so forth. We know it is history is acurate, but the rest about heaven and hell and judgement day, could that be real? What about a man named Jesus? Did he really die on a cross 2000 years ago? Most credible historians do not dispute this fact.
You can't have been a Christian. You might have been religious, but you were not "Born Again."

Uhhhhh, no. That makes no sense whatsoever. The universe is created, and everything in it.
