Going into seeing it, I had very very low expectations for Never Back Down so that probably had something to do with it. IMO, it is like a new age Karate Kid. Im sure there were a lot of pissed off Karate practitioners back when that movie came out.

I watched this tonight and I wish I hadn't. What a contrived bunch of ass. I wouldn't even recommend it for the fight scenes because as good as they were, they certainly didn't make up for the abysmal story line.

Watched about a week ago. It was 100 times better then Never Back Down. The fight scenes were believable as far as technique goes. The story was a bit hard to follow but I thought overall that the movie was decent. Hopefully if any more movies come out, they'll just get better and better.

My opinion on Red Belt

Did not like it, it was boring. The fight scenes were good though. The story was just too boring. I was day dreaming while watching it, wondering damn when is THis $hit gonna be over.

Never Back Down, was a way better movie than Red Belt

I really liked it,mostly for the last half of the movie the beginning just seemed to kinda be there...but you had to think of everything in terms of an old samurai movie, then it seemed to make more sense

Lame movie. Shitty storyline. At least Never Back Down was mildly entertaining.

I enjoyed the movie. Its totally worth watching at least one time. Not the greatest movie ever but it has some merit.
