Whenever you are dealing with fans of something you have to take their impressions of a movie on the subject with a grain of salt.

I know Fever Pitch (English version) was a crap movie but since I am an Arsenal fan I loved the film.

Redbelt was crap. The more i think about it the worse it becomes.

Yeah it was poorly done. The fighting scenes were nice because they're were more realistic.

But all the monologue sucked, and I was damn confused the first 30 mins...didn't know what happened or what they talked about

movie was horrible, didnt make sense.

Fight scenes were gay.. cliche "Theres always a way out"

The movie was promising and the leading roll was actually good - he acted well and was likeable.. the writign of the movie was horrible, and trying to follow what was going on.

I liked the movie. The movie played out like a broadway show. People kept repeating there lines. Also a couple of the actors were from the tv show Unit, which Mamet created. Pretty cool ending though. It doesn't explain what's going to happen to the character but you assume he'll be fine because of the way he handled adversity. Some of the Unit's ending are similar to Red Belt, where it doesn't end in a good note and that's what I like about Mamet.

Did you guys see the behind the scenes featurette? Mamet looked pretty impressive with his wrestling and ground game.
