Pink Floyd

How many of you are Pink Floyd fans?

I bring it up because a while back on another forum I occasionally visited someone made the exact same thread and overwhelmingly (80%+) of the responses were very negative. Basically saying they were crap, many went so far as to call them untalented, most over rated, or worst band ever.

To me they are one of the best bands I have ever heard for creating beautiful atmospheric rock and roll.

So what say you guys? Pink Floyd, Great or Garbage?

Pink Floyd is one of the most important bands of All-time.

Top Five no question, no one can argue that. From experimental albums to all out classic singles, they truly have one of the most impressive back catalogues in rock history.

They are great. I can't understand how anyone could hate on them. What kind of message board was it?

Ditto.

You need to stop asking about Pink Floyd on those Nashville and Compton forums.

It was a gaming forum, I assume most of the negative responders were between the ages of 12 and 15, still blew me away.

Pink Floyd was one of the most epic and original bands of all time. They are the best drug influenced psychedelic tripping band ever. Whoever thinks otherwise doesn't understand music. I think many of the younger generation who don't like them are turned off by their often slow, droning, melodic style, but hey that's Pink Floyd for ya. Pink Floyd had a way of tapping into feeling and emotions that I didn't even know I had, esp. with a line like "ooh I need a dirty woman" FTW!
